17th century farmhouse with log fires, a quiet peaceful location set in 2 acres of landscaped gardens, surrounded by farmland. Plenty of good local pubs and gourmet food within 5 miles. Because of the fire risk we would kindly ask guests not to smoke. French is spoken.


Ollivers farm is located on the Essex-Suffolk borders. It is a medieval farmhouse set back from the road surrounded by farmland with glorious views over the surrounding Essex countryside. Accommodation consists of one twin bedroom with en suite shower and WC and one double room. This is on its own landing so it is quite private. From November 2003 another single room will be available.

We have tea and coffee making
facilities and a colour TV in each room, and a log fire in our comfy sitting room all winter.

Breakfast is normally served in our elegant dining room, or out
on the terrace in good weather.

Brown bread and occasionally white bread is home made and our bacon is home cured by a local butcher.

Eggs are free range from a local source, and they really are free range.

We have ample private parking and many lovely walks all around, and Ollivers is totally secluded and in a very quiet and peaceful setting.

We have two acres of landscaped garden, with a small woodland area, herbaceous borders, wildlife pond and a small vineyard from which we make our own wine.

If you have a plane to catch, Stansted is 45 minutes drive from Ollivers. Taxis can be arranged if needed.
